The latest WWE Hell in a Cell 2015 results are in for the first half match winners on the latest pay-per-view event being held in Los Angeles. John Cena led off the show and issued his open challenge for the United States Championship with a surprise challenger arriving out to face him. Also, New Day put their titles on the line against the Dudley Boyz and Roman Reigns took on Bray Wyatt in a Hell in a Cell match. So who were Sunday’s early winners and did titles change hands?
According to PWTorch.com on Oct. 25, Cena started things off with a short speech in the ring, followed by awaiting his latest challenger for the United States title. Surprisingly, Zeb Colter, the former manager of Jack Swagger, arrived out on a motorized scooter to talk about how “polarizing” Cena is and about how the people need a better U.S. champion. Bring out surprise challenger Alberto Del Rio, who made his return to the WWE ring after months away. In the match itself, the commentators noted Cena was unprepared for this particular opponent and Del Rio would ultimately outsmart Cena, escaping an Attitude Adjustment to hit a Backstabber and kick to the head for the pinfall win.
Also during the first half of the show, the Dudley Boyz took another shot at New Day for the WWE Tag Team Championship belts. In this match, Xavier Woods was nowhere to be seen. However, his trombone would still come into play late in the match. First it showed up when Kofi brought it into the ring, threw it to Bubba and fell to the mat, faking like he had been hit. The ref refused to call for the bell because he never saw anything. Moments later, Big E smashed the trombone on Bubba Ray from the apron with the ref not seeing it. Kofi landed his big Trouble in Paradise kick to pull off another win.
In other early matches, a six man tag match took place on the pre-show. Neville, Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler teamed up to defeat King Barrett, Sheamus and Rusev. The finish saw Ziggler superkick Barrett and then Cesaro swing him around the ring. Cesaro made the tag out to Neville for the Red Arrow and the win. In the first of the two Hell in a Cell matches of the night, Roman Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt, but it wasn’t easy. The match involved numerous finishers, several tables that were smashed, kendo sticks and of course a Roman Reigns spear for the pinfall win.
WWE Hell in a Cell 2015 pay-per-view was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night. Other matches on the card would include Nikki Bella versus Charlotte for the Divas Championship, Kane versus Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight title and Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell.
