The 2015 Winterville Watermelon Festival kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, and runs through Saturday evening, according to the festival’s website. We have all the fun details and calendar of events for the Watermelon Festival, so get ready for three days filled with some good old fashion family fun at the craft shows, food vendors, amusement rides*, watermelon eating contest, seed spitting contests, watermelon roll, youth events, concerts and lots more!

Hours of the Winterville Watermelon Festival are Thursday 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Friday 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., and Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday for the Saturday concert, so plan ahead for good parking and seating. All concerts are free this year, so you do not need to have a ticket.

6:00 p.m. Food and commercial vendors open for business, amusement rides open for wrist band night (wrist bands* cost $20 and are good until 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night) 6:30 p.m. Opening ceremonies, Free Concert in the Park begins with Groovetown, and at 8:30 p.m. Bruce in the USA (The #1 Tribute to Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band)
