It really seems like USA is a sort of a sociological experiment and the ultimate losers of this vast economic and psychological fiasco might be the children. Many political issues surrounding what will drastically affect the next generations are being kicked around as though they were a punt, pass, and kick competition and the children will be stuck with outcomes decided by politicians who are out for personal gain and revenge for their personal ungrounded beliefs, superficial whims, and some prejudicial deranged focuses.
Healthcare is one of the great debates that politicians seem to favor but yet many of them know little to nothing about the actual practice of healthcare to include mental health and treatment options. Under the healthcare umbrella abortion is a hot topic which infuses political lunacy, religious overtones, and the defunding hypocrisy which does not provide for the birth of unwanted children or a welfare state society which demands serious financial attention. And since congress has a generous healthcare package it seems very hypocritical many of them are attempting to take away healthcare from families who have children and programs that affect children as does funding for food and education.
But children don’t vote and many of their parents do not know the inside fixing of the bills of which their political representatives are voting on and manipulating the facts about. With all the problems that are going on now in schools and in society today with children and parenting issues politics should not be adding to the existing dilemmas. Government should be solving problems and not creating them Schools systems are overwhelmed with teacher shortages, student behavior issues, increasing numbers of unprepared children entering schools every year, and funding shortages that have parents coming out of their pockets for additional expenses when their budgets are already squeezed tight with taxes, slow wage growth, high food prices, healthcare expenses, and the many other home-front cost of raising a family.
No one has a crystal ball but it does seem as though that some of the policies that some politicians want to pursue will set the country back for the next generations and the future of USA will reflect what was seen in the world as what were called third world countries, and now what underdeveloped nations like Mexico, Brazil, and some Mid-Eastern and African nations are experiencing now. Poverty is already growing in USA at an alarming rate and that is reflected right here in the streets of New Orleans and surrounding areas. Homelessness and home evictions happen here far too often and it is like a silent plague that people do not talk about but everyone knows exist because it can be seen in the open. If no one thinks children are affected from such outcomes they need to sit back and think again. Just about everything that could be labeled as a social ill does affect children in one way or another. The outcome of financial futures, wide ranging health issues with the big one being mental health, incarceration rates, the job market, the murder rate, gun control; all these problems and more are what our next generations will face as future inheritances, and what will they think of the donors that left it for them?
