Week 2 of the 2015 NFL Schedule kicks-off tonight when the Broncos travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in Thursday night football action. CBS Sports reports although both teams head into this TNF clash sitting at 1-0, the Broncos offense looked like it was on vacation in their opener vs. Baltimore last Sunday. The only touchdown for Denver was scored on an interception return from DB Aqib Talib. In fact sadly, that INT return was about the excitement for Broncos fans during the entire game.
Considering all the weapons on Denver, including All-Pro QB Peyton Manning, that is not the type of start the Broncos were looking for in 2015. However, they did get the win, and that is all that matters.
It may only be Week 2, but this weekend is already a big one for a few teams who don’t want to fall to 0-2 on the season. After all, when you only play 16 regular season games, starting 0-2 has statistically shown that making the post season gets to be a bit rough – and starting 0-3 is much worse!
That being said, there are three games on this week’s schedule that pair up winless teams. So yes, already there is a slight bit of urgency. The Lions will play their second straight road game when they take on the Vikings in Minnesota. Both teams lost last weekend and another loss this week will not only put one of them at 0-2, but it may also put them 2 games behind the first place Packers if Green Bay can pull of a win in their home opener vs. Seattle this Sunday.
Other games that include teams looking for win No. 1 on the season include Baltimore taking on Oakland and Tampa Bay squaring off vs New Orleans. Unless we see a game tie, we know that three teams will start the season 0-2 and already fans will start to question their chances of making a postseason run.
Last week was a great one for us picking against the Vegas odds board! The weekly picks finished 4-1 ATS and we hit the Sunday night game parlay with the NY Giants +7 and the OVER, making it a 6-1 week to start the 2015 season!
