The Who wrapped up the first leg of their 2015 North American tour Sat, May 30 in Queens, N.Y., at Forest Hills Stadium. The legendary British rockers performed a hit packed twenty song set, closing the night with their 1971 single “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”
According to a review posted on May 31 at Brooklyn Vegan, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers put on an “almost flawless” show, celebrating their 50th anniversary with a setlist jammed with greatest hits and beloved album tracks from across their hugely successful five decade career. The concert was the multi-platinum sellers’ last U.S. stop before crossing the pond for a summer tour of Europe and the U.K., which will be followed by the second leg of their 2015 North American tour in Sept.
The 9:00 minute clip catches the band wrapping up the night with the beloved track from their classic 1971 studio album Who’s Next. The fan filmed video captures the song right at the outset of guitarist Pete Townshend’s opening power chords and shows The Who bringing the night home at their defiant and hard rocking best. Fans can check out the video above and see the night’s full setlist below.
Produced by AEG Live, The Who Hits 50! Tour will return to North America this fall. The second North American tour leg will kick off Sept. 14 in San Diego, California, at Valley View Casino Center. Tickets all U.S. shows are available at AXS.
