Warren Jeffs is in prison for molesting young girls, but now two of his 60 children, who he fathered with one of his 78 wives, are speaking out about their own father molesting them. Jeffs claimed the 12 and 15-year-old girls who he molested and eventually put in prison for were his “spiritual wives.”
It is very apparent there are no boundaries with this man and this is something that his adult daughter and adult son figured out on their own before leaving the compound. They left as adults to make a life of their own away from the polygamous Mormon sect that sexually abused them as kids. Both siblings just walked away from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, or FLDS and never looked back.
Becky and Roy Jeffs, the adult children of Warren Jeffs, were interviewed by Lisa Ling for her CNN show, “This is Life,” which airs tonight, Wednesday September 30, according to Fox News. This will be the first time that the children of Warren Jeffs publicly allege that he sexually abused them as children.
Becky first told one of her sisters about what their father was doing to her and the sister confessed that he was doing the same to her, according to CNN News. Becky says:
“I thought, I’m not the only one molested, he’s done it to her it must be something that was in his nature. Where does it end? If he had this in him, how can I trust him? How is he really our prophet?”
This is the question that the rest of Warren Jeffs’ followers need to ask themselves. Even though Jeffs is in prison, he is still the leader of this group and very much in control via jail.
The scars that this man and his colleagues will leave on all these children is so disturbing. To think that there are mothers out there somewhere allowing the men of this church to have their way with their young daughters and sons is not something you can easily wrap your thoughts around.
