In the last episode, Daisy tries to help Lincoln but things get difficult when someone betrays them and tries to take them down. Simmons tries to adjust back to life at SHIELD with Fitz’s help as Hunter continues his plan to avenge what happened with Bobbi.
In this week’s episode, titled ‘Devils You Know’, SHIELD tries to find an Inhuman is off hunting and killing other Inhumans. Is the war between Coulson and Roslyn going to continue on? And who is this blue alien killing Inhumans and why? Meanwhile, we figure out what Ward wanted from Alexander.
Coulson teams up with Roslyn and her ATCU as they try and find the blue alien off trying to kill inhumans but it proves that it may not be enough. Roslyn gets frustrated that Coulson is keeping stuff from her, but Coulson is not one to give out extra information. It seems that Roslyn is just the female version of Coulson as she loves to keep secrets and tell half-truths as well. Coulson plays the game well because he knows that they won’t find out what they want to know without making the first move.
They find the person responsible for killing all the Inhumans, Derek. He has a tracking system for it because he is ‘allergic’ to finding the Inhumans and sells them out for the blue ‘pitbull’ (aka Lash). Lash is actually another Inhuman with some serious ‘blue’ side-effects. On the way to ATCU, Lash attacks the truck but Daisy is able to fend him while also being able to see that he disguises himself as a human. Who could that human be?
Hunter and May continue to try and infiltrate the new Hydra so that they can get to Ward while Ward continues his own plan for revenge on May. May tries to have Coulson pull Hunter back because she thinks that he’s judgement is clouded. Considering how reckless he is with his life right now, she may have a point. The big confrontation between Hunter and Ward comes down to this show. At least the first part, as Hunter goes after Ward and it leads to Andrew getting caught in the crosshairs and getting killed. Looks like now Hunter is going to be on May’s list along with Ward.
Meanwhile, Simmons continues to adjust to life out of the Montalist as she now becomes obsessed with getting back there. Why would she want to go back to the place that almost killed her? Time can only tell. Andrew tries to help her but she acts as if nothing has changed. Simmons talks with Bobbi and they talk about their worries about their love interests.
In the next episode, we get to see how Simmons survived while on another planet and why she is so desperate to go back.
