Tis the season to be jolly, if you are searching for a job this holiday season you may want to check out UPS. UPS has announced recently that they are expected to hire over 90,000 seasonal employees for the holiday season which will begin November 2015 and continue until January 2016.
Recently Myron Gray, President of the U.S. operations of UPS said: “We have initial volume forecasts from our customers and are starting the hiring process for our temporary holiday season jobs. We have needs for various positions on all shifts at UPS locations throughout the United States.”
Consisting of both full and part-time season positions, UPS is looking for drivers, assistant drivers, and package handlers. These types of positions have paved the way for many current UPS employees. In fact, CEO David Abney started out as a part-time employee with the company.
“UPS has paid my way through college. At the time, I had no then that I would be leading the company someday, but I could tell UPS was a place where a solid work ethic was appreciated and there were great opportunities for advancement” Abney said recently. Abney started with UPS in March of 1974 and has been with the company ever since.
