On Oct. 17, 2015, teen film actress Kaycie Lee took time out of her busy schedule to share with atombash.com. She has lived in Florida since the age of seven and currently resides in Cape Coral with her family. Lee is only 14, but readers will soon discover how talented this young lady really is!
This SAG-Eligible actress, who loves horse back riding, was born on Long Island, NY. At six, Lee began storytelling in the form of writing, plus she brought what she wrote to life through animation. This “magic” created by Lee, plus her acting that soon followed, has and continues to mesmerize and captivate those around her.
Lee’s personal background includes being raised by one parent, her mom. There were many struggles along the way for both Lee and her family. Her mother has been wonderful support, and she believes in her daughter. It is for this reason that Lee believes in her own dreams today, because she (her mom) first believed in her. According to Kaycie Lee, it is this foundation that has given her wings.
Speaking of such struggles made Lee think of the following Hellen Keller quote. Like Keller, Lee is quick to say that life experiences and challenges have taught her this:
“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”
Lee’s professional acting career began at 13. Already one of Lee’s big acting roles has included portraying Anne Frank. She realized it was her dream to bring Frank, and other characters, to life on the big screen in a realistic, heart-touching and meaningful way. She is a “Stars of Tomorrow” winner, a Florida State Thespian Superior, plus she is an active member of the United Film & Television Artists.
When it comes to an acting career, Kaycie Lee is unstoppable. Lee apparently believes in being prepared in all she does, and in so doing she has studied intensively with her primary acting coach Marjorie Morhaim here in South Florida. She also has taken an intensive workshop with Miami Casting Director Lori Wyman. Lee attributes her inspiration and belief in her dreams to Wyman. This talented young actress has other significant scene study training, as recently she began training with an acclaimed acting coach in L.A. As a result, Kaycie Lee is both spontaneous and aware that the ‘unspoken moments of connection’ are where it is at!
Additional credits for Lee include a SAG web series, and three films. The movies are “Fallaway,” “Hanging Millstone,” and “The Scent of Her Soul.” Lee has also been recently cast in a new family television series called “Big Sky.” The latter TV project will focus on harsh frontier realities, as well as inspiring faith and hope. Lee is quick to say that her own faith inspires her to pursue such projects touching lives with a message of love and grace.
When it to comes acting, Kaycie Lee said she’s always known she would act, especially film acting. Theater acting, to Lee, is bigger than life, but it is very special to the world of storytelling. She feels stage is a different lens entirely. However, Lee knew she would pursue TV and film acting since the age of 10.
“In film, the magic that happens, is for me, life… It wasn’t a choice at all really, just an acceptance that this was my destiny. The camera focuses on the eyes, the soul and the rich inner world of the character. It is so very intimate for me. The camera sees the truth inside the person or character, as well as the conflict, the joy, and the tears. It’s all there exposed for others to be touched.” – Kaycie Lee
