Global clothing retailer, UNIQLO is holding their annual “A Warm Gesture” charity event this Saturday in Brooklyn and Soho. The program provides clothing for children and aligns with the brand’s global mission to improve people’s lives through the power of clothing.
Started in 2013 in two cities with 100, the event ahas now expanded to ten cities around the U.S. This year, UNIQLO has invited 350 children between the ages of 7-17 from across the country to shop at one of their ten stores. Each child will be accompanied by a UNIQLO volunteer to help them shop for their favorite items and stay within their budget. Donation boxes have been set up store cash registers to give customers an opportunity to support the initiative through monetary donations. Money raised from donations will be matched 100% by the brand.
A Warm Gesture is this Saturday, December 12th in Soho at the Department of Homeless Services and in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Community Services. Make to stop by any UNIQLO store to donate to this great cause.
