Twitter’s #UFO videos and photos after Saturday’s missile test in California are stunning. Even though family members from navy officers on the submarine USS Kentucky affirm the government’s explanation that the mysterious bright light seen across several western states was due to a missile test, others wonder whether that explanation isn’t just a government cover-up for an actual UFO appearance.
As reported by San Diego’s NBC News on November 8, viewers from California, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, and as far south as Mexico reported seeing a green and blue colored streak of bright light. The light was seen travelling through the sky after coming from the Pacific Ocean on Saturday night. “It was really slow and then exploded really gray and there was some blue lights it just looked really weird,” said one viewer who was walking on a San Diego beach with his family.
According to Commander Ryan Perry with the Navy’s Third Fleet, the Navy Strategic Systems Programs was conducting a scheduled unarmed Trident II (D5) missile test flight from the USS Kentucky off the coast of Southern California — and that was the cause of the bright light.
“The Coast Guard sector confirmed that they spoke with the Department of Defense and confirmed it was a missile test. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department tweeted the bright lights were confirmed to be a Naval test fire off the coast.”
Twitter’s #UFO, however, is questioning the California missile test explanation that came after the fact. Why was no one alerted about the upcoming striking event? Wouldn’t at least the coast guard be notified beforehand?
Without any prior notification to anyone about the submarine’s missile test in California, #UFO reacted immediately with photos and videos. Some people called authorities wanting answers to the mysterious light. As reported by Newsweek, conspiracy theories of aliens, an unusual celestial event, a cataclysmic occurrence, or an apocalypse came into people’s mind.
Twitter’s #UFO reaction to Saturday night’s mysterious event includes photos and several videos while many comments under NBC’s report clearly express doubts on the government’s explanation that this was a missile test in California:
“Have seen many Vandenberg launches in my day, but from our vantage point in Anza-Borrego, it looked like nothing we had ever seen.”
“I don’t believe this!!!!! I have video as to how it was directly over the Pacific Ocean. It came upward from the Pacific Ocean and hovered. Lights changed colors and it just didn’t travel like a missile. I grew up watching rocket ships takeoff from Cape Canaveral FL. I have also seen other strange activity over the Pacific Ocean that I can not explain, other than it is not a missile, in my opinion. Can’t convince me.”
