Tomorrow is the first day of October! This means it is time to start planning those Disney vacations and enjoy all of the spooky rides. One ride at the Walt Disney World Resorts and Theme Parks is sure to give you chills up your spine just from looking at it. In fact, you should be very, very careful when checking into The Hollywood Tower Hotel, because you may never check out. The once posh hotel, popular with Hollywood’s elite, is now home to four guests and a bellhop who took a ride on an elevator one night. Sad to say, they never made it to their floor.
After checking in at the Twilight Zone’s Hollywood Tower Hotel Tower of Terror you will be escorted to the hotel’s library. Before entering the library you will pass by the guest elevator that appears to be out of service. When you get to the library, you will not be able to read one of the many dust-covered books, because a thunderstorm knocks out the power as you enter the Twilight Zone.
Your adventures will then take you through the hotel’s boiler room. Since the main elevator is out of service, you will need to take the service elevator, where you and 27 other guests will bravely face thrilling and chilling drops. One after another. If you dare and choose to not close your eyes you will get a fascinating view of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including the Earful Tower.
Phew. You survived. But before leaving the hotel, do not forget to take a look at your picture that was taken during one of the big drops. Now tell me…Did you smile? Or were you screaming?
If you choose to ride The Twilight Zone’s Hollywood Tower Hotel Tower of Terror you can do so at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is down Hollywood Boulevard across from Rock N Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. You can use your FastPass+ to reserve your ride times. This will help you skip the line and have less of a wait to get on the ride.
If you enjoy the spookiness of Tower of Terror, but do not want the thrills, check out The Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom. This will give you all the screams and haunts you desire, without the drops. This is also another highly recommended attraction at Disney World during the month of October. Definitely a great way to celebrate Halloween, which is just around the corner.
