“Fun Home” won the Tony Award for Best Musical on Sunday, June 7. The coming of age musical made history as an all women production which took home five Tonys for its team. The other big winner of the night was,”The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time” which also won five awards. There were also some upsets of the night with unknown actors winning awards over well known actors. Newcomer Alex Sharp won the award for best performance by an actor in a leading role in a play beating Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper. Dame Helen Mirren dazzled in Badgley Mischka dress with Fred Leighton jewelry as she won a Tony award for portrayal of the Queen. The actress also won an Oscar for her role as the monarch. This year the red carpet at Radio City got a well deserved makeover from Anna Wintour. Vogue also released a special Tony Awards red carpet feature starring Gigi Hadid on what to wear to the Tonys. Gigi is show wearing Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Paco Rabanne, Manolo Blahnik, Harry Winston, Chopard, Oscar de la Renta, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and Boss.
