Hello Doll Collectors. I hope you all, are having a good weekend. And I hope you all have a good week coming up. I wanted to find some dolls that have a nice sunny and summer like quality to them. Something that is sunny but refreshing as well. I wanted to take a look at Tonner’s Child Dolls. Tonner has an extensive collection of these Child Dolls, but there is one that I thought you should see, if you haven’t already. Newly added to the collection is a doll called Pistachio Cupcake Trixie. This doll has a Sunday best, written all over it. Or should I say designed all over it. Let’s explore this doll together.
Before, we get to the beautiful dress and the marvelous, scrumptious material it’s made of, I simply have to talk about the adorable face that this doll has. Large brown eyes, with long and delicate eyelashes. I especially love the eyelashes, because of the realistic way it’s applied. They are not even, they are patterned, to be long and slightly short, one after the other. Giving a nice fullness, all around the lid. A button for a nose. It can certainly be said, that this doll, has a cute button nose, that you would want to tweak every now and then. Her baby lips are a soft mauve color, not at all loud or dramatic. Her mouth, as it should, just represents sweetness. Going back to her eyes, they are like beautiful amber. I could even say a smokey quartz. As you look in her eyes, you can see far beyond the surface. Meaning, you could get lost in those big brown eyes, because of the deepness of the color. Who wouldn’t. Not to mention the fact that she is ever so cute.
I love the dress and the materials used to create Pistachio’s outfit. The material for the top, has a look of linen. And a soft looking tulle material is used wonderfully for the layered skirt. What a beautiful and scrumptious combination. The word scrumptious can be applied here, because the name given to her is Pistachio Cupcake Trixie. How splendid. The bodice of the top, has a square neckline. The top portion has a nice linen shine to it. And the lime color, is getting it’s full shining dew, as the light hits it beautifully, so that you can see the sheen. The top, ties lovingly, at the shoulders. I say lovingly, because it can certainly bring up visions of ribbons and bows. Yes? The top, is decorated with soft marbled purple and white, flowers, that seem to have, a look of polyester or terrycloth material. Each flower has a small white oval bead drop, in between. The three sets of flowers are placed strategically, which is wonderful, because it creates a nice balance; In volume and in the mixture of the colors; purple and lime green.
The tulle skirt is full, as it is seen in the tiers of fabric, gathered all around, getting wider as it reaches the bottom. Underneath, we can see hints of a nice white petty coat. This is all complimented with a white pair of fishnet stockings of a floral design. Her shoes match the material of her top, as well as the bonnet she wears on her head. The bonnet is tied, under her beautiful mane of black, soft and smooth curly hair. The flowers, the tulle, and the linen type material, is incorporated to create her bonnet. How sweet is this.
Pistachio goes for the collectors price of $150.00. Visit Tonner online to check availability.
