TLC heard the pleas of ’19 Kids and Counting’ fans. For months now fans have been voicing their opinions, desires and interest in the return of the Duggar family to national television whether it was with TLC or another network. It seems TLC has remained in contact with the Duggar family and they’re ready once again to join forces but, only with Jessa Duggar Seewald and Jill Duggar Dillard and their newly formed families. This news, according to AP on September 24 is rocking the fans around the world with an announcement they will be getting their own TV specials that will provide loving fans with updates of their lives.
Currently the news that TLC shared about the TV specials is minimal at the present time. One special is expected to air near the end of this year with two more shows in the works. Who knows, if these three specials create a soar in ratings TLC might possibly think of continuing with other specials starring Jessa, Jill, their spouses and their children in the future.
Right now the show plans on giving fans a glimpse of Jill and Derick along with Israel on how their lives have changed and the accomplishments they are making with their mission work in Central America. It will also include Jessa and Ben share their first year of marriage together, her pregnancy and hopefully continue so everyone can share some of the moments before and after the birth of their first child which is due at the beginning of November.
TLC Executive Vice President and General Manager Nancy Daniels told The Associated Press that; “What we will be following in these specials is Jessa preparing for her first child and we’ll be watching Jill preparing to make a major move to Central America with her family, which we know is something our audience will be interested in.”
This latest project, Daniels said, came together quickly and they are ready to act and create a few specials with the Duggar girls. Once Jessa and Jill discussed the idea and TLC understood that they both were on the same page that they wanted to be part of a new television special, the ideas started flowing across the drafting table. Daniels continued to say that; “We know that our audience is really excited about what’s been going on with Jill and Jessa as they move into young adulthood,” said Daniels. “And now they’re both at the precipice of big changes. With what was happening in their lives in the next few months, it felt like now is the time (for the specials), and we got going pretty quickly. There’s no doubt it’s been a tough few months on the family, and we’ve obviously been in close contact with them as they’ve been going through it.”
When the original show “19 Kids and Counting” aired it had over thirty-two million viewers. So many fans of the Duggars absolutely love hearing and following the news of Jessa and Jill and have been praying and sending in requests on the networks for months since the show went off the air. Their prayers and pleas to bring back the girls to the network for their own show is exciting news. Upon hearing that at least three specials will be aired with an open-end that possibly more shows will follow is causing an overwhelming stir of excitement among fans of Jill and Jessa. More details about the specials will be forthcoming as they are revealed. Are you among those looking forward to watching the upcoming programs and seeing more about the days and lives of Jill and Jessa?
