Whew! August is running away at full speed, along with Wisconsin and area runners. The last full week of August is National Safe at Home Week across the United States. Still, intrepid athletes are game for tons of races and running events from Monday, August 24, through Sunday, August 30. Leading the list are the Badgerland Striders Half Marathon, the Manitowoc Two Rivers Youth Triathlon, the Rugged Maniac 5K Obstacle Race, the USATF (USA Track and Field) Wisconsin Racewalk Championships, and the ZOObilee Stampede 5K Run/Walk. South of the border are the Chicago Triathon and Muckfest MS.
