Dwayne Johnson sets out to stop a devastating earthquake in California in “San Andreas”, while Bradley Cooper tries to get his life back on track in “Aloha”. Those movies and more are in theaters this Friday.
“San Andreas”: In this action movie directed by Brad Peyton, rescue-chopper pilot Ray (Dwayne Johnson) makes a dangerous trek across California in the wake of a terrible earthquake to rescue his daughter Blake (Alexandra Daddario). Runtime: 114 minutes. Rated PG-13 for intense disaster action and mayhem throughout, and brief strong language.
“Aloha”: Written and directed by Cameron Crowe, this romantic comedy/drama follows Brian Gilcrest, a famed military contractor who returns to Honolulu, Hawaii—the location of most of his career success—and reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Tracy (Rachel McAdams) while also falling for Allison (Emma Stone), the gung-ho Air Force watchdog assigned to him. Runtime: 105 minutes. Rated PG-13 for some language including suggestive comments.
