Spa-goers are invited to “Think Pink” this October at Spa Mio inside M Resort Spa Casino. Not only will the Forbes Four-Star spa be hosting a Spa for the Cure event on Oct. 15 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but it will also be introducing a new facial therapy service that’s specifically formulated for those seeking comfort from chemotherapy, radiation, medications and side effects from cancer treatments.
Dubbed the Tranquil Respite, the customizable treatment is performed by Spa Mio’s certified specialist, trained in exploring the side effects of cancer and able to identify how cancer and cancer therapy treatments affect each system of the body. As certain medications can deplete the skin of vital nutrients, a personalized skin care regimen and treatment plan is essential. The 50-minute service uses safe, non-carcinogenic skincare ingredients from the Osmosis skincare line and can be modified based on individual needs. Available exclusively on Wednesdays and Thursdays, the treatment is priced at just $85.
Then on Oct. 15, cancer patients, survivors and caretakers can enjoy a “Moment of Peace” during Spa Mio’s Spa for the Cure event. Intended to help provide comfort to those who have been affected by cancer, guests can book a complimentary mini service from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in exchange for a donation. Moment of Peace mini treatments include a scalp massage, mini facial, blow dry or energy treatment with optional aromatherapy. Appointments are based on availability. Guests can also participate in a complimentary 30-minute Moment of Relaxation meditation session in front of the spa before the event begins at 8 a.m.
Located at St. Rose Parkway and Las Vegas Boulevard, Spa Mio is one of Las Vegas’ most luxurious retreats.
