When we first met Sandrine Genier, the author of “The Vampire,” she was simply a traveler on the Dracula Tour to Transylvania. Little did we know that she would turn out to author one of the best vampire novels in years.
“The Vampire” is part modern gothic horror, part realistic vampire story with an undercurrent of bromance, adult situations and mild descriptions of sexuality, this character driven story explores the complex relationships of a modern day vampire and the few humans he allows into his world. Set in exotic locations, it is about the nature of obsession; the people who become both our strength and our weakness; about family loyalty, and those individuals who sometimes become the catalyst for needed change to occur. It is about the lengths we will go to in order to protect our desires. “Find the thing you love and let that kill you.” The story plays out against the colorful background of New Orleans and the Boston area as well as Montreal, Venice, Paris and London locations.

About the author
“I wrote this book for myself foremost because I could not find “my vampire” anywhere else. What started out as one book became three volumes and soon to be four. I have been writing since I was a child but this is my first published work. I have personally traveled to all of the places mentioned in the story and continue to travel widely around the world. Some of the incidents described in the book have actually taken place. I have gone on numerous paranormal investigations; love perfecting my French and I’ve been drawn to vampires since before Dark Shadows existed. I am humbled that Augere has allowed me to write his story.”
