Melbourne, FL (July 30, 2015) If you attended the 2015 ICAST trade show, you would have noticed all the kayaks that were on display. All the big brand names brought their stable of boats to the show. Nucanoe was one of the exhibitors.
Known for their extremely stable Frontier fishing kayak with its 41 inch beam, added a new kayak to their line up the new Pursuit Fishing Kayak. Nucanoe’s team came up with a kayak design that considered speed, stability and space designing the Pursuit. If it is anything like the Frontier, it will be a big success.
This Pursuit fishing kayak is narrower by six inches and 18 inches longer than the Frontier. This design gives the Pursuit a much better glide when paddling. Being a 35 inches wide, one can still stand on a stable platform to sight fish and cast a fly rod.
The Pursuit is manufactured using a rotational molding process called roto-molding. The hull has built-in rod tubes along each side. The deck freedom tracks are identical to the track system on the Frontier as well as the aft motor mount.
The Pursuit comes with different style of seat than the Frontier. The Pursuit Seating System
Is very similar to what one will find on other top-end fishing kayaks. It has a lumbar support for maximum comfort when paddling long hours on the flats fishing for Red Fish or Snook. The new seat is adjustable which allows for a full range of motion while paddling and fishing. The mesh nylon fabric provides a natural stretch and breaths as you sit on it. This seat is attached to the deck freedom track that allows the seat to be positioned to fit the angler. All in all this should be a great fishing platform for any kayak angler.
