The Columbus Times on Monday reminds fans that “The Haves and the Have Nots” returns on Tuesday, June 30 at 9 p.m. on OWN. Before watching Tyler Perry’s popular drama, there is something cast members want viewers to know to keep you glued to your seat the entire season.
Viewers saw in the finale that Veronica has set the Harrington house on fire with David asleep in the bed. David is a main character of the show, so it is not a spoiler to let viewers know that David doesn’t die. If viewers thought Veronica was vicious in previous scenes, she is going to turn up the volume and become even more vicious as she involves other innocent people into her wickedness.
Amanda killed herself two seasons ago, but the Cryers are just preparing for her funeral. Tyler Perry dragged this story out as long as he could. At long last, Amanda is laid to rest. Her brother, Wyatt, takes responsibility and stands up to do what’s right even though he has to go against his parents’ wishes to do so.
Benny has been in a coma, in jail twice, but in the upcoming season he is on his way to defend his sister and find her child. He gets mixed up with Veronica, and that spells trouble. However, it will be interesting to see how far the relationship goes before his mother, Hanna, puts a stop to it. Speaking of Hanna, she reminds people not to put her in a box. She admits she is a God-fearing woman, but she has human moments as well.
Jeffery reminds his fans that he is more than just a homosexual man. Fans will see him starting to become more and more courageous this season. He learns about the scheme his mother planned to keep him straight. Melissa is going to show her true colors when she insists that Jeffrey’s parents take care of her parents based on Veronica’s promises.
The Pittsburg Post-Gazette gave a raving review about Allison McAtee who plays Maggie Day. She has worked in Jim Cryer’s campaign office. She has seduced David Harrington. She had fought with Candace Young. She had made enemies along the way, but she isn’t through yet. She has gone from a supporting role on “The Haves and the Have Nots” to a more prominent role. Maggie Day invites viewers to see what she is up to next.
In previous seasons, Candace has been calling the shots and manipulating people. In the summer season, the tables are going to be turned on Candace that will surprise viewers. The summer season is worth watching to see that Candace will get what she deserves for the way she stepped all over people during previous seasons. Before she gets what she deserves, there is one more person she has to conquer.
