Before we begin, please note the fund raiser date is not a means of raising funds for you to spend on your date, but rather raising funds for a good cause. If that’s not what you expected, just move along.
For a different type of date that not only affords you time together with your date, try going to a fundraiser where you can meet new people, learn something interesting and even contribute to making the world a better place. The “better world” thing does depend upon why you raise those particular funds. Try to avoid the Klan meetings or The New Black Panthers meetings.
On July 25th Trevor Loudon, a Kiwi, came to town for a presentation to the charitable group, Liberty and Prosperity. Okay, you first want to know what a Kiwi is. Yes, for some of you who groomed to the hilt, there was Kiwi shoe polish to keep your shoes looking good, but that’s from another era. Kiwis are also a small bird from New Zealand, but when referring to a person, a Kiwi is the term used for a natural born citizen of New Zealand. For completeness, its always good to refer to the Urban Dictionary where upon further review you would find that “people from New Zealand do not shag sheep, contrary to popular belief.” You can’t make this stuff up, it’s really in that reference book of renowned.
Getting back on tract, Trevor Loudon is an international lecturer, researcher and expert on national security, culture, internal subversion and socialism. He came earlier in the day to speak with a large group of folks. Later that night, a special VIP dinner reception was held to talk with the man one on one. He is on a mission. He realizes that America is the last bastion of freedom in the world today. He wants us to remain strong for fear that if we fail, so goes the entire world, including his beloved New Zealand. It sounds a bit strong, but when you realize how America is called upon to defend so many, if we weren’t there, how many nations would be overrun and in utter chaos?
In his newest book, The Enemies Within, Trevor Loudon explores and exposes the subversive mechanism that threatens our existence. He describes the somewhat hidden political movement that has penetrated American life and government. Who would have expected to go on a date and feel like you’re in the middle of a James Bond movie? That’s what his talk was all about.
While you want to get to know this person you just started dating,` you end up on the edge of your seat. Well you sure had a lot to talk about after his presentation. No dull awkward moments on the ride home. And as with most fundraisers, there’s good food and plenty to drink. You don’t get a bill at the end, and you don’t have to leave a tip. Of course you already made your donation that quite often is more than a nice meal at a fine restaurant. But is all worth it because you are supporting a group with a mission. In this case, Liberty and Prosperity, a non-political, non-profit educational group that’s out there teaching the public about all sorts of things going on without their interests at heart. The term Liberty and Prosperity is the motto of New Jersey since 1776 and it is as relevant today as it was back then.
There are thousands of fundraisers taking place just about every day and night… somewhere. Look for a cause you can get behind, or something that interests you, and make it a point to get involved with others who may enlighten you, and you may do the same to them. The fundraiser is a great place to meet and to entertain your date, and it’s DIFFERENT!
