Barry: “I’m supposed to be their hero. I’m supposed to be the guy who can protect them from something as evil as that, and I failed in front of all of them!”
“Gorilla Warfare” is the November 17 episode of “The Flash.” Be sure to check out the slideshow for more quotes from the episode. “The Flash” returns on December 1 with the beginning of another epic crossover with “Arrow” on the CW.
Grodd returned, and it was just sort of okay. Sorry, a giant talking gorilla doesn’t always do the trick. The focus was definitely not really on Grodd. It was about Barry overcoming his fears, and, more importantly, it was about Harry Wells wearing the Reverse Flash suit. Come on, you got really excited when that happened too.
Oh, it was also about teamwork, specifically about Wells staying in this earth to help out Team Flash. Did you know that when people work together things get done? It’s surprising. Basically that was what Caitlin was trying to teach everyone.
What was a little confusing is how exactly Wells thought he would solve the Zoom issue back on his earth. He never really explained why his earth was better than ours. Okay, so he has talking gorillas on his earth too and breaches that go all over the globe. How does that give him an edge of defeating Zoom?
The reasoning never quite made sense. It’s not like he stated that he had some tech back in his S.T.A.R. labs that would work better. Sure, he most likely wanted to be on the same earth as his kidnapped daughter. It came across like Wells only stated he wanted to leave this earth just so Caitlin could prove to everyone that they are stronger together. He was never really going to leave. They are all in this together, guys.
Barry struggling to be The Flash again was expected after what Zoom did to him. If Barry were able to shake it off, it wouldn’t have felt right. Of course, if he were listening to Shake it Off while he motivated himself to get back out there, then it would have been okay. Is anyone else picturing Barry in his Flash suit dancing to Taylor Swift?
It was great that Iris, being the brilliant person that she is, knew Barry well enough to bring Henry in for help. Henry’s presence was amazing, and it was also a reminder that he really shouldn’t have left so abruptly once he got out of prison. Barry spending time with his dad is so great to see, especially since they have so much to catch up on.
What did you think of tonight’s episode? What did you think of Cisco and Kendra’s date and vibes? Cisco training Harry to be Wells was hilarious, until Cisco made him say those words. Leave your thoughts in a comment below.
