Cisco: “I would never let that happen. Sergeant Slow is a terrible name.”
“Enter Zoom” is the November 10 episode of “The Flash.” Be sure to check out the slideshow for more quotes from the episode. “The Flash” airs Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. CT on the CW.
Linda pretending to be Dr. Light was by far one of the funniest moments on this show. Between Cisco’s cardboard cutouts and Linda and Barry’s “fight” sequence, everything surrounding this charade was hilarious. We don’t often get a lot of levity when dealing with metahumans, so it was great to have a little fun. Plus, it meant more time with Linda, which is always a good thing.
On a more serious note, Barry and Joe have a great talk about Barry’s determination to catch and defeat Zoom. They both made good points, but honestly, Joe’s made more sense. Barry wasn’t the one who defeated the Reverse Flash, his supposed arch-nemesis – Eddie did.
Barry’s reasoning does make sense, but it also felt like it came out of nowhere. He said that ever since he didn’t save his mom, there’s been a void inside of him. There hasn’t really been evidence of that. It seemed like Barry was back to normal and was happy.
Granted, it is a little difficult to show that someone has a void. One way that would have been a little better is if Patty and Barry hadn’t started dating yet, so that after Joe and Barry’s talk, Barry went and asked her out or made a move. If we had seen Barry purposely hold himself back more from someone who can make him happy, then that would have been a decent way to show that Barry felt like there was this void in him.
All right, we’ve finally met Zoom. The one thing that is clear about him is that he is a bit of a showoff. He went on a victory tour with Barry’s limp body. Zoom paraded around all the places where people look up the Flash, and he made a speech about how The Flash is nothing. Honestly, it was surprising that Zoom didn’t unmask Barry.
Zoom, you don’t even go here. This isn’t your world, so why do you care so much about what this Earth thinks of its Flash? Zoom’s got quite an ego, and he definitely wants everyone to know that he is the fastest man alive. What did you think of Zoom?
Let’s say Zoom succeeds and kills Barry and/or takes away his speed. What’s next for Zoom? Is he just going to rule both Earths with his evilness or is he going to go back to Earth 2 and just be a bad guy there? It’s hard to figure out what Zoom’s endgame is, if he even has one.
