The summer season is perfect for warm nights and seasonal drinks on a rooftop bar. Set high enough above the crowded streets for the noise to be muffled, and twinkling lights creating a cozy atmosphere, who wouldn’t love a relaxing night on a rooftop in NYC? With panoramic views of the city that never sleeps, New York has plenty spaces to offer for an alfresco experience.
The Roof at Park South
Titled simply “The Roof”, this rooftop bar at the Park South Hotel offers gorgeous views of Manhattan, delicious appetizers and a lengthy wait-time to get upstairs. If you’re granted access to the elevator, the drinks are worth it.
Sky Terrace at the Hudson Hotel
This bar is located on the tippy-top of the Hudson Hotel. Time your visit just right and you can catch the sunset while enjoying the easy-going atmosphere.
Eataly is known for its delicious foods and unique layout. Whether it’s pasta or steak, wine or fish, Eataly has a designated station. But, what most people don’t realize is that Birerria, the rooftop eatery, is more than just “the brewery.” Grab a table and enjoy a mixed menu of meats, cheeses and lots of Italian beers.
If you’re familiar with Sleep No More, then you’re aware that The McKittrick Hotel is a unique place. But, Gallow Green, the rooftop bar located atop the McKittrick Hotel is an escape from NYC life with beautiful flowers and garden vibes.

Watermark Bar is a South Street Seaport gem. You not only get nice views of the East River, but can nosh on burgers and bar bites and wash it down with signature cocktails.

This SoHo spot has sick views of New York City, and offers poolside lounging all summer long on Saturdays & Sundays. Splash around in the pool while the skyscrapers tower around you. There’s even a DJ on the weekends to get the pool party going.
Pod 29 Rooftop Bar
This adorable space located above the delicious Mexican restaurant, Salvation Taco, serves tapas and delicious cocktails with a side of spectacular skyline views.
Sitting 30 stories up above Midtown, Upstairs at The Kimberly is a little more than just upstairs… but you can’t deny that 30 flights up doesn’t offer an excellent view.
VU Rooftop Bar
This rooftop bar is not located on top of a posh New York City hotel like most rooftop bars and lounges. Despite it being atop the La Quinta hotel, it offers the BEST views of the Empire State Building.
A swanky bar atop the Dream Hotel, AVA Lounge overlooks Times Square and the Hudson River with views off the Empire State Building. It doesn’t get much better than that, does it?

Atop the Hilton Hotel in the Fashion District, this rooftop bar is open year round and is enclosed and heated in the winter time. But come any season or day and enjoy the view.

Head all the way downtown to Battery Park and make your way up to the top of the Conrad Hotel for the Loopy Doopy. Order the signature Prosecco drink with an ice pop!
