We know that science means “knowledge”, and true science always agrees with observable evidence. There is one “Book” that is true science and that book is the Bible. There is a saying “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” This saying is true when talking about the Bible. There is a beauty of science within the pages of this “Book” who has a divine Author and His name is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Beauty understood (Genesis 1:3),(Genesis 2:9),(Job 40:10),(Ecclesiastes 3:11),(Matthew 6:28-30). Beauty surrounds us :Radiant sunsets, majestic mountains, brightly colored flowers, glowing gems, soothing foliage, brilliantly adorned birds, and the magnificent spectacular stars in the night sky, just to name a few things. God created beautiful things for us to see and enjoy for our benefit and His glory.
The beauty of seeing a rainbow in the sky. The origin of the rainbow explained (Genesis 9:13-16). Prior to the Flood there was a different environment on the earth (Genesis 2:5-6). After the Flood, God set His rainbow “in the cloud” as a sign that He would never again judge the whole earth by water. Meteorologists now understand that a rainbow is formed when the sun shines through water droplets, which act as a prism, separating white light into the color spectrum.
The beauty of living on a planet that sustains life. The earth was designed for biological life Isaiah 45:18). No other planet in our solar system can do this. scientists have discovered that the most fundamental characteristics of our earth and cosmos are so finely tuned that if just one of them were slightly different, life as we know it could not exist. This is called the “Anthropic Principle” and it agrees with the Bible which states that God formed the earth to be inhabited.
The beauty of knowing that God has given us just the right amount of water to sustain life (Isaiah 40:12). We now recognize that if there was significantly more or less water, the earth would not support life as we know it.
The beauty of light. God has given us a great light in the center of our solar system. He created a star, our sun to sustain the earth with light (Genesis 1:16). but we have in our hand an even greater light and that light is the Bible, the Word of God. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
The beauty of life itself. Man is “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). We are only beginning to probe the complexity of the DNA molecule, the eye, the brain, and all the intricate components of life. No human invention compares to the marvelous wonders of God’s creation. Life is more than matter and energy (Genesis 2:7),(Job:7-10). We know that if a creature is denied air it dies. Even though its body may be perfectly intact, and air and energy are reintroduced to spark life, the body remains dead. Scripture agrees with the observable evidence when it states that only God can give the breath of life. Life cannot be explained by raw materials, time, and chance. The Law of Biogenesis explained (Genesis 1). Scientists observe that life comes from existing life. This law has never been violated under observation or experimentation. Therefore life, God’s life, created all life.
The beauty of knowing the Creator and Savior who is the divine Author of the Bible. “But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” (II Peter 3:18)(King James Version)
Knowledge is a beautiful thing! The more you know, the more you grow. So let it in, and you will always win. So read and study everyday. So you can say. Knowledge is a beautiful thing! Amen!
