Red Rocks turned into a classroom for a little bit last night as The Arrival From Sweden took the stage and not only performed the music of ABBA but also gave lessons throughout the night of how to speak Swedish and how ABBA came into existence.
The Arrival From Sweden was welcomed to Red Rocks Amphitheatre Wednesday, July 29th by Public Broadcast Television KBDI as the performed their annual concert. The group was made up of mostly new mostly a whole new group, the night was not a disappointment. The fans of ABBA came to hear their music and that is what was delivered. The Arrival From Sweden introduced the audience to the origin of ABBA and how the group got its name. ABBA was derived from using the first initial of each member’s first name. Agnetha Fältskog, Bjӧrn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni Frid Lyngstad. Agnetha taught the audience how to say three important words for people that might visit Sweden soon. They learned hello, thank you and Swedish meatballs. And of course, the audience was treated to years of music that made ABBA a worldwide sensation with their music.
The Arrival From Sweden is one of the world’s most popular and bestselling ABBA show bands since they started in 1995. As the atombash.com spoke with some of the younger generation who attended last night’s concert and learned what their favorite songs are by ABBA. Lauren Allen likes “Money Money Money” and is followed up with “Dancing Queen”. Vivienne Bersin likes “Money Money Money”. Sisters Amber and Ashley Bellison love “Dancing Queen” and “Money Money Money”. And Vanessa and Charlotte round out the younger generation with – you guess it “Money Money Money” and “Dancing Queen”. So the Examiner spoke with a little bit older crowd and their songs were a bit different. Nancy Gordon loves the song “The Winner Takes It All”. Leslie Manchester said her favorite is the same as the musical “Mama Mia”. And last was Heather Graham loves “Mama Mia”.
And in traditional style, The Arrival From Sweden said goodbye to the fans at Red Rocks Amphitheatre by closing the night with the No.1 selling music single by ABBA “Dancing Queen”. And joining the band on stage was 3 dancing queens from the audience. Overall it was another great success at Red Rocks Amphitheater as the award winning The Arrival From Sweden introduced the young to a very successful group of artists who enjoyed writing music, singing music and making the world smile with their music. As for the older generations in the audience, it was a night of reminiscing as they listened to some of the best music written by a pop artist group. And as for Denver’s Public Broadcast Station KBDI, it was another night of success and enjoyment.
