Teresa Giudice, one of the stars from the reality television franchise “Real Housewives of New Jersey”, ROHNJ is currently serving her fifteen month prison sentence for bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. She is currently scheduled to be released this December. In the news story issued on June 29 by Radar Online Teresa requested a furlough in the form of a weekend pass to visit her ailing parents.
Teresa’s parents, Antonia and Giacinto whom she wanted to visit due to their poor health may be true, but other factors came to light that contradict her wishes to visit them. Teresa discussed a furlough for a weekend away from the prison to visit with her parents and she was advised to forgo her request. It seems that in order for Teresa to have this request granted the prison officials must receive documentation from her parent’s doctor outlining their health conditions. Without proper proof the request wouldn’t even be considered.
Giudice is said to have told her lawyer, she wished to be allowed to leave the prison to spend some time with her parents. On the other hand, it seems that she also said some inmates that she wanted to go shopping with her mother at the local mall. With these additional statements floating around her lawyer thought it best to drop the idea of asking for time away to see her parents. Currently prison officials aren’t too happy with Teresa as she has had outside communications with her fans through social media through her daughter, Gia which is strictly forbidden. This latest request seems like another ploy for attention that even her lawyer feels would not be approved and more than likely looked down upon since she hasn’t made any attempt to obtain any medical documentation about her parents’ condition.
Filming for the upcoming season of RHONJ has been delayed until the fall when Teresa is finally released from prison. Bravo is excited about her release and the story line that will be part of the show’s newest episodes retelling her story about prison and her life-after prison. It has been reported that the network has offered her a $2 million deal upon her return to the show. The rest of the cast isn’t taking this lightly and feel Teresa is being favored even though she is now labeled a convicted felon. Giudice, at this time seems to be the only one currently with a contract in the works. Her return to the show and the acceptance of the contract isn’t entirely in the hands of Teresa Giudice. The probation department has to approve and sign off on any and all employment Teresa seeks as part of her terms of release.
Currently her probation officer hasn’t signed off on any paperwork regarding the offer with Bravo and it seems that her attorney is also against the idea of her return as well. Anything at this point in time can happen and that final decision won’t be official until after her release. Teresa is expecting to be released on December 23 from the Federal Corrections Institution in Danbury, Connecticut and it doesn’t look like an early release is in the works or her future.
