The Dominican Republic’s famed Casa de Campo Resort & Villas has signed a partnership deal with Jim Courier Tennis, a tennis program serving luxury resorts around the world. Created to enhance Casa de Campo’s already robust sports and activities programing, Jim Courier Tennis at Casa de Campo will offer its community of villa owners and vacationers a full-service tennis program featuring some of the finest teaching professionals in the world.
Spearheading Jim Courier Tennis at Casa de Campo is tennis professional Jose Vaca-Bustamante. He brings to the resort years of coaching experience in all skill levels and ages, most recently at the NCAA level. Focusing on a unique methodology, the program invites residents and guests to enjoy one-on-one tennis lessons with Vaca-Bustamante and his team of professionals. A Junior Tennis program for kids’ ages 6-plus will launch on Oct. 1 and run for nine months during the school year, followed by weekly Summer Camp programs providing young athletes’ year-round training.
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas (www.casadecampo.com.do.) is one of the world’s great sporting destinations, featuring three Pete Dye-designed golf courses, including the fabled Teeth of the Dog, a 370-slip Marina & Yacht Club, Polo & Equestrian Club, Jim Courier Tennis Center and 245-acre Shooting Club.
Casa de Campo is also home to Altos de Chavón – an artisan’s village modeled after a 16th century Mediterranean city with boutique shops, museums and a 5,000-seat Grecian-style amphitheater inaugurated by Frank Sinatra in August of 1982.
