The tourism industry provides millions of jobs, in fact without the travel and tourism trade each household would be paying 1000$ more in taxes.
Vacation and holidays also do wonders for your health. Studies show that while on vacation you sleep deeper, get exercise with activities like hiking, biking and skiing and improve your emotional state and overall stress levels as well as lowering your blood pressure. Many creative geniuses also say that they got their best ideas while on vacation. Sometimes you just need a little R&R to reboot your brain.
Not only do vacations help you recover, they can be fantastic for many other things as well. Seeing the world, trying different foods and seeing an array of different cultures can open up your mind and expand your views. Learning to deal with language barriers and habits and traditions of other cultures can help improve our patience. There are so many spectacular places to see and so many things to experience that will help us grow no matter what age we are.
