The holidays after over, and, you made it through Christmas and New Year’s Eve alone. You tell everyone you’re doing just fine, but, the truth of the matter is that your loneliness is unbearable, and, you just don’t know how you’re going to make it through Valentine’s Day by yourself. Society can be thoughtless and cruel to those who find themselves alone on this day of love, but, you don’t have to sit back and take it!
Instead of sitting around, and, blaming every flaw you have and beating yourself up because you don’t have anyone special in your life, why not love you and do something just for you? Do all those special things you would do for someone special for yourself on Valentine’s Day! Make yourself a great dinner and buy a wonderful bottle of wine to accompany it. And, instead of eating over the sink like you do every night, actually set the table, maybe even light some candles for ambiance. You deserve it!
Are you the type that would give your special someone a great gift that they wouldn’t buy for themselves on Valentine’s Day? If the answer is yes, then get that gift for yourself. Indulge and splurge a little! Treat yourself to a day at a spa or grab a friend who is also single and go shopping and make a day out of pampering yourselves.
Do you have a four legged companion? In reality isn’t your dog or cat or other pet the truest meaning of unconditional love? Why not return that love and treat your pet to the best day ever! After all, no human can love you as much as that little fur-ball!
Lastly, if you really need to confront Valentine’s Day head-on, then round up all your single friends, and, have an Anti-Valentine’s Day party. It can be a very therapeutic way to vent all that venom in your system that you’ve been carrying around since your last relationship.
