So what’s going to happen now that the Darkness has been unleashed? Well, Sam and Dean are going to be right back on the hunt when “Supernatural” season 11 begins, as seen in the sneak peek the CW released on Tuesday, Sept. 29, teasing what to expect in the premiere, “Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire.”
In the “SPN” season 11 premiere, which picks up where the finale left off, Sam and Dean must deal with the Darkness that was unleashed when Rowena used the spell to remove the Mark of Cain from Dean’s arm. Meanwhile, Castiel deals with the effects of Rowena’s Attack Dog spell and recalls his brutal battle with Crowley, whom he was last seen targeting.
The “Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire” sneak peek shows Sam and Dean driving in the Impala when they come across a couple of stopped vehicles in the road. The Sheriff’s car is empty, city workers are dead on the ground and the driver and passengers of another car are inside, dead. When one city worker, with black veins on his throat, approaches Sam and Dean and doesn’t stop even when they threaten him with their guns, an officer shoots him. She’s more interested in seeing their skin – specifically, their throats, to make sure they’re not like the others – than the FBI badges Dean says they have.
“Supernatural” season 11 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. on the CW. What do you think of this “Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire” clip?
