Are you ready for another summer season of great craft beer? Then look no further than downtown Houston as Sundown at The Grove returns for another year. Now sponsored by Southwest Airlines, Sundown at The Grove is in its fourth year and it has a great lineup of local and other craft beers slated for weekly appearances. Here are the facts:
Event: Sundown at The Grove
Location: Discovery Green, downtown Houston
Date and Time: Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., starting July 1 and running through September 9, 2015
Each Wednesday, guests will gather to sample a flight of beer with food specially made to match. The food is prepared by the sous chef team at The Grove, one of downtown Houston’s top spots for American fare. A flight of beer samples will be provided each week along with the food and a great view of Discovery Green Park.
Here is the scheduled brewery/beer lineup for Sundown at The Grove:
- July 1, Saint Arnold
- July 8, Karbach Brewing
- July 15, Goose Island
- July 22, Sweetwater Brewing
- July 29, Firestone Walker Brewing
- August 5, Cider Night
- August 12, Taste of Belgium
- August 19, Sierra Nevada Brewing
- August 26, Freetail Brewing
- September 2, Cycler’s Brewing

Brewery personnel will be present each week to answer questions about the featured beer, the craft beer industry, etc., and music will be provided by DJ Sun. If you’re a wine drinker, you can trade your flight of beer for two glasses of wine instead.
The cost of the event each week is just $20 and tickets can be purchased in advance by clicking here. You can also pay at the door, if you prefer. It’s a great deal and a great way to spend each hump day in the coming months, so buy your tickets and head to Discovery Green each Wednesday through September 9!
