…Daily Weather Synopsis…
Strong high pressure over the Atlantic Ocean will pump a southerly to southwesterly flow of hot and increasingly more humid air into the region through the midweek period. Isolated showers and thunderstorms may pop up tomorrow, thanks to daytime heating and a weak disturbance passing by to the north. A better chance of showers and thunderstorms looks to occur on Wednesday as a cold front attempts to break down the high pressure ridge in place over the region. Due to the increase of low level moisture tomorrow and Wednesday, storms that do form may contain heavy rainfall.
The second half of the work week looks to see the cold front pass through the region on Thursday, weakening even further as it does so. Friday looks to see a chance for showers or storms early with the departing front, followed by improving weather under high pressure as we head toward the weekend.
Temperatures for the first half of the forecast period will be above to well above normal, trending back to near normal by the end of the period. Precipitation will average near normal, with those areas seeing heavy rain from thunderstorms averaging above normal.
