We all dream of that perfect wine country getaway. The one where the accommodations are comfortable and relaxing with vineyard views as far as the eye can see. It has to include a tasting room to sample some delicious wine and provide the opportunity to feel glamorous, adventurous, and care- free.
Great news! Oregon’s wine country has a special treat at Willamette Valley Vineyards where two luxurious and welcoming winery suites await. You get to enjoy wine tasting and tour, as well as a generous wine credit to take your favorites wines home with you. In the tasting room you can also opt for a chef prepared meal before you stroll to your lovely suite to admire views, the stars, and a fireplace all to yourself.
You don’t have to be a wine aficionado to enjoy the selection of wines at Willamette Valley Vineyards. Regardless of your wine preferences you will find something to love here. We all like what we like and the beauty of wine is discovering your favorite picks. One of the best things about the winery suite package is the $150 wine credit so that you can enjoy these wines at home while you savor the experience.
The Willamette Valley is best known for Pinot Noir, but you can also taste Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Franc at Willamette Valley Vineyards. Enjoy a wine flight and pair it with their delicious daily menu selections.
Wine geeks will love talking about vintages, terroir, and varietals while your partner is content to enjoy the views and the wine. Both of you will be delighted. You can pretend this is your own piece of heaven, for the day or week.
The Edamame Hummus was a good choice, that complemented the wine flight and great for sharing. Heartier fare includes charcuterie, pasta, panini or my favorite the Dungeness crab and artichoke slides enhanced by the 2013 Vintage 40 Chardonnay. Sitting by the fire, sipping wine and savoring the toasty sliders was the perfect ending to a busy day.
Having a bottle of wine to enjoy in the room after dinner was a smart decision. Mesmerized by the fire, sinking into the cozy leather furniture while listening to music seemed a perfect way to spend the evening. The overly large soaking tub (large enough for two) provided the right amount of relaxation.
The enormous king bed was cozy with warm bedding and soft pillows creating the perfect environment for a restful night of sleep. Awakening to vineyard views and the fog lifting over the valley reinforced a sense of tranquility. An in-room breakfast of coffee, fruit, pastries, and yogurt provided ample sustenance for a busy day of exploring Oregon’s beautiful wine country.
