Sprint launched an amazing deal to attract new customers that will be hard pressed to say no to paying 50-percent less than their current cell phone bill. Released by Business Wire on Nov. 18, Sprint is celebrating the launch of its new LTE Plus network by making an offer that few will be able to refuse. Sprint is offering customers of other carriers an unprecedented opportunity to try the Sprint network for 50-percent off the price of most Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile rate plans.
Sprint is working hard to attract new customers with an amazing chance for people to sign up for the nationwide offer any time between Nov. 20 and Jan. 7, 2016. This presents the chance for all to try out the Sprint network to see how much its performance has improved. According to a recent study by Nielsen Mobile Performance Data, “Sprint’s application download speeds for all file sizes have now surpassed AT&T and Verizon.”
Simply put the Sprint offering is very easy for all to understand. Whatever the current rate one is paying with a competing carrier, Sprint will cut that in half. In addition to AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, Sprint is also offering Cricket and MetroPCS customers a deal to save 50-percent off their postpaid rates. Each new customer will have a choice of choosing a half off plan based on their current company’s rates.
In addition Sprint is to pay switching fees of up to $650 per line with an American Express Reward Card. Adding to the incentive is that the offer is worry-free, giving new Sprint customers 28 days to try out the service. For those who wish leave Sprint during the 28 days they can do so, and even return any device bought from Sprint with no restocking fee.
Existing Sprint customers are not to be forgotten by their network. Sprint is offering to reward their current loyal clientele with a holiday deal. Customers who are already using Sprint can receive a free tablet, worth $360, with free service for one year when signing up to renew with a new two-year contract.
“We’ve made tremendous strides with our network because we know consumers want wireless service that provides consistent speed and reliability,” said Marcelo Claure, Sprint CEO. “We are so confident that customers will have an amazing experience that we are encouraging them to give us a try with the biggest wireless offer in the history of our industry.
Claure made the major announcement of the launch in a telephone press conference held on Wednesday, Nov. 18. Speaking with journalists Claure answered questions regarding the new Sprint plan offering as well as their new LTE Plus network. He specifically noted about incoming new customers, ” I think when they see their bill cut in half they will be very happy customers.”
Claure easily explained how customers from other carriers will choose a new Sprint plan, “As we launch this, we are eliminating 1000s of rate plans that we previously had. The new plans will now be based on other major carriers’ rate plans, along with a simple Sprint rate plan” continuing, “This is very simple, you walk into store and look at your existing carriers rate plan and then Sprint will use the same rate plan for the customer but cut it in half at 50-percent off.”
In explaining how the Sprint network has improved Claure remarked, “LTE Plus is now in 77 markets and will continue to be deployed in many more markets. We are very excited about the network in making improvements. We are trying to do more and talk less,” finishing with, “I believe a lot of customers will be coming to Sprint.”
