The Southern Image Quartet from Tupelo, Mississippi, will travel to Gurley to perform in concert. The Home and Garden Show return to Huntsville, just in time for the fall of the year. Here is your look at the week ahead in Huntsville for August 25-31. 2015.
THE SOUTHERN IMAGE QUARTET from Tupelo, Mississippi, will be in concert Sunday, August 30, at 5:00 p.m. The concert will be held at Shipps Baptist Church on Little Cove Road in Gurley, and will be free to the public.
THE FALL HOME AND GARDEN SHOW, sponsored by the Huntsville Madison County Home Builders Association, will return to the Von Braun Center Satuday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30. The event will be held in the South Hall, with a $6 ticket being valid admission for both days. Kids twelve and under are admitted for free.
THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO, an opera sung in Italian, will be presented this week in the Von Braun Center Playhouse. Presented by Ars Nova, the event will be held nightly from Thursday, August 27, through Saturday, August 29, at 7:30 p.m. each night. There will also be two matinee performances on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets range from $20 to $25 each.
FRATERNAL ORDER OF THE EAGLES BREAKFAST will be held Saturday, August 29. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits, grits, gravy, orange juice, and coffee. Breakfast costs $5, with the proceeds going to local charities. Hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The lodge is located at the corner of Bob Wallace Avenue and 10th Street in Huntsville.
