Sofitel Luxury Hotels has introduced its SoSPA by Sofitel concept in North America, unveiling its newest location at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Featured at more than 28 Sofitel hotels around the world, with multiple new locations underway, SoSPA at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills combines restorative global traditions with the latest therapies and treatments in French cosmetology. Now in its soft opening phase, the grand opening is slated for January 2016 (www.SoSPAla.com).
“We wanted to introduce our first North American SoSPA in a city known for its commitment to health and wellness as well as a passion for elegance and beauty,” said Aldina Duarte Ramos, global director of well-being for luxury and upscale brands at AccorHotels. “Each SoSPA location artfully blends French art de vivre with the best of local cultural refinement, and we have adapted the spa menu to embrace the customs and culture of Los Angeles.”
The launch of SoSPA at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is directed by Trilogy Spa Holdings, a fast-growing boutique operator of luxury spas in America’s most iconic hotels and resorts.
SoSPA at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills features specialty products from French aromatherapy brand Decleor and luxury beauty brand Carita and incorporates elements of SoSPA’s global selection of French-inspired therapies. Massage treatments include SoSpa’s signature So Relaxing Massage and So Rejuvenating Facial, along with Los Angeles favorites such as the Sunset Treatment, a customized service that repairs sun-damaged skin.
Taking a personalized approach to wellness, SoSPA allows guests to customize their experience as if they were ordering from a gourmet French restaurant – combining treatments from the “Starters,” “Mains,” and “Desserts” sections of the menu.
Ramos said Sofitel designed the original menu concept to bring a touch of fantasy and an air of creativity to the typical spa list of treatments. Seeing similarities between spa vocabulary and that of a restaurant, Sofitel’s spa experts decided to offer beauty “recipes” to guests, breaking the traditional spa codes and offering a personalized, creative experience. Guests can choose from an “a la carte selection”: 30-minute ‘starters’ for busy city dwellers seeking respite from a busy day, or hour-long ‘main courses’ and ‘desserts,’ which include body massages, facials, hot stone treatments, and other worldwide or local traditional massages that nourish the body and soul.
Each treatment includes a massage suite, Swiss rain shower and MyBed massage table designed to provide ultimate comfort. The deluxe and VIP treatment suites feature a private hydrotherapy spa bath. SoSpa guests also get complimentary access to SoFIT, the fitness center at Sofitel Los Angeles.
