Snap Kitchen is your go-to resource when you don’t want to sacrifice health, convenience or taste. It’s the perfectly proportioned, nutritionally balanced, grab-and-go meal. It’s a Spinach & Goat Cheese Scramble, It’s Grass-Fed Bison Quinoa “Hash.” It’s superior, lovely sourced ingredients. It’s complete and easy to understand nutritional information, right on the BPA-free container (they are also microwave safe). It’s knowing exactly what you’re eating and how much. It’s everything you need if you’re on a specialized diet, whether you’re gluten free, Paleo, or Plant Powered. Basically, it’s eating well and living better, without the work. Snap Kitchen also obtained a 3-star certification from SPE Certified, which is a third-party program based in New York City that assesses a restaurant’s operation and menu against science-based nutrition and sustainability criteria.
Snap Kitchen offers cold-pressed juices with flavors such as Easy Greens, which I thought was crisp, light and tasty. It has apples, leafy greens, a hint of lemongrass, spinach, cucumbers and citrus. Low in calories and high in antioxidants, it’s the perfect way to start the day and an easy way to get a quick immune booster. Super Greens is a powerhouse with greens like kale, romaine, and spinach, which are all high in Vitamin A. This juice also packs a great protein punch. We were fortunate enough to taste the unusual Chai Cashew “Milkshake,” however, it is creamy, rich, filling and the raw cashews in this shake are a great source of protein, containing high amounts of magnesium—necessary for strong bones—and oleic acid. Sweetened with all natural dates and a soothing blend of cinnamon, ginger and cardamom, this is a great pick-me-up. Other notable flavors include: Energy Boost, Antioxidant, Carrot Ginger Elixir, Far East Tumeric Elixir, and Spicy Basil Lemonade. The juices have about two pounds of fresh fruit and veggies into 16 oz. bottles and they’re portable as well. These cold-pressed juices maintain the high level of nutrients and enzymes better than centrifugal juices that tend to lose many of the necessary nutrients. The menu consists of breakfast, signature salads, pancakes and morning treats, lunch, snacks and sides, dinner and desserts. For the full menu, please visit their website.
Some menu highlights include the Spinach & Mushroom “Enchiladas” with housemade Paleo tortillas, organic non-GMO sprouted tofu, sautéed spinach, mushrooms, and romesco sauce. The Oven Dried Tomato & Goat Cheese Tart is made with almond flour crust, whole egg, goat cheese and roasted tomato. The Vegetable “Lasagna,” which has tomato, eggplant, zucchini, summer squash, mushroom, oven roasted marinara and part skim ricotta. Grilled Kale Hoppin’ John with Spanish rice, black beans, lentils, pumpkin seeds, kale, lemon hummus, and chunks of sweet potato make up this chef-inspired creation spiced with chili flake, cumin, and paprika for a rich, smoky flavor. A favorite includes the Siam Lentil Bowl, which has Thai basil “pesto” with organic quinoa and lentils, kale and toasted almonds.
