Luxury ship operator Silversea Cruises, which also includes an upscale expeditions fleet, has announced the addition of what it calls ‘epic’ Grand Expeditions starting in October 2015. The adventurous voyages range from 18 to 34-days and explore the Galapagos Islands, Central and South America and Antarctica. They also include shore excursions.
Silversea is offering the all-inclusive Grand Expeditions package for both Silver Galapagos and Silver Explorer with a 20% discount off brochure rates plus hotel accommodations, land tours, return air travel between Ecuador and the Galapagos, air travel during the voyage, ground transportation and charter flights for passengers on voyages to Ushuaia. “Our Grand Expeditions offer a unique blend of overland adventure combined with two amazing expedition cruise experiences — all expertly curated by our destination experts,” said Kristian Anderson, Silversea’s senior vice president and general manager for the Americas.

Options include a Latin American Delights that departs on Oct. 1 for an 18-day sailing through the western Galápagos Islands which is famous for spectacular volcanic landscapes, penguin spotting, and epic snorkeling. This one includes a post-cruise overnight stay in Guayaquil and then fly to Panama to embark Silver Explorer. Sailing from Colón to Guayaquil, guests will witness amazing wildlife, float up river in the Darien Jungle, and discover the beauty of Colombia’s Pacific coast.
