This Thursday, July 30 at 6 p.m., Senpai + Kohai and Geography 541 will be hosting a summertime beauty and fun party called “Style Me Pretty” at Toile. Toile is the chic and stylish fashion retail atelier and showroom located on 1333 Frankford Avenue in the culturally thriving Fishtown section of Philadelphia.
“Style Me Pretty” is a collaborative event that will bring together two of Philadelphia’s independent fashion leaders. Besides the featured delicate elegance of Senpai + Kohai brand’s new Pastel Eclipse Scarf Collection and the understated beauty of Madeline Tolle’s wanderlust inspired jewelry, the evening will also feature stylists Brent Ericsson and Kait Newman of American Mortals salon.
“American Mortals offers a quality of customer service and skilled stylists on par with any high-end salon in Philadelphia, without any of the pretension or stuffiness. We believe each of our client’s defining beauty is based on their standards, not what a magazine tells them is beautiful,” Adam J. May, Director of Operations at American Mortals told Examiner.
At “Style Me Pretty,” attendees will learn some quick, fun styles utilizing the Pastel Eclipse Scarves from Senpai + Kohai and the hair accessories and jewelry from Geography 541. As noted on Geography 541’s website, this limited edition collaboration between the two brands features “a color palette derived from the pastels of early spring blooms and the contrasting dark tones of the earth emerging from winter. The result is a collection of easy to wear pieces for the modern free-spirited woman.”
According to Pia Panaligan, co-founder of Senpai + Kohai, after you get all glammed up, “We will have local photo booth company, John Wilkes Photo Booth, here to take digital pictures that can be texted or emailed to those who use it. We plan on having a special hashtag (#geturprettyon) for the night that will promote our event via social media.”
Toile, the venue where the fashion festivities will take place, is owned by Bianca De Pietro, a graduate of Philadelphia University with a concentration in Women’s Wear: Avant Garde & Couture Sewing. According to her bio, Bianca “studied abroad in Florence, Italy at Accademia Italiana focusing on tailoring techniques and evening wear gown construction.” De Pietro’s own designs (Bianca Rachele), as well as work from other local designers are featured at this prestigious atelier. “We are very excited to have these two designers teaming up as they compliment each other so well,” Bianca expressed. “This fun styling event is not to be missed!”
“Style Me Pretty” begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 at Toile, 1333 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125. For more information, visit the event listing on Facebook.
