The leaves are changing, bathing suits are being stored away and PSL is about to hit Starbucks’ menu; this can only mean one thing: fall TV premieres are right around the corner. But while you’re setting the DVR record option for your favorite series to All New Episodes, check out the previews for “Scream Queens”, “Wicked City”, “Heroes Reborn” and more that are sure to be must-sees.
‘Scream Queens’ premieres Sept. 22 on FOX
There’s no show we should be more excited about this season than “Scream Queens”, a dark drama-comedy focusing on an elite sorority and its queen bee, played by Emma Roberts. Fox calls the series “part black comedy, part slasher flick and a modern take on the classic whodunit,” but we’re just calling it our new favorite part of Tuesdays. Be sure to check out official clips from Scream Queens” on the show’s website.
‘Heroes Reborn’ premieres Sept. 24 on NBC
“Heroes Reborn” can easily go one of two ways: above and beyond how amazing the original was or a massive crash and born that reminds us why remakes are rarely a good idea. This version of the series takes place a year after a terrorist attack that leveled a city and centers on the group of individuals whose extraordinary abilities are blamed for the attack. “Heroes” cast members, including Masi Oka, Greg Grunberg and Jimmy Jean-Louis, will appear throughout the series, making this a must for anyone obsessed with the original. Be sure to check out the official trailer for “Heroes Reborn” on NBC’s website.
‘Wicked City’ premieres Oct. 27 on ABC
Sex, drugs, rock n’ roll and murder — that’s “Wicked City” in a nutshell. The Los Angeles-based drama stars Ed Westwick, a serial killer with an affinity for pretty young woman and hearing his dedications on the radio, and centers on the hunt for the Sunset Strip Killer, who may be closer than anyone could imagine. The trailer is haunting, but in the best kind of way. Be sure to check out the official trailer for “Wicked City” on ABC’s website.
‘Blood and Oil’ premieres Sept. 27 on ABC
Anyone still grieving the loss of “Dallas” should be able to fill the void with “Blood and Oil.” The plot lines may differ, but that sexy, southern feeling and mix of those trying to make millions and those with too many millions for their own good rings just as true. The series stars Chace Crawford and Rebecca Rittenhouse, who put it all on the line against a ruthless tycoon (Don Johnson) for the chance of a lifetime. Be sure to check out the official trailer for “Blood and Oil” on ABC’s website.
‘Flesh and Bone’ premieres Nov. 8 on Starz
Growing up, every little girl has dreams of being a ballerina, with her porcelain skin, graceful steps and pretty tutu. Starz’s new series “Flesh and Bone” will somehow make you glad that dream never came true yet jealous of the girl for whom the dream became reality. The series follows Claire, a troubled, yet delicate young woman trying to navigate the dark, often dysfunctional world of professional ballet. Real-life professional ballet dancers such as Emily Tyra and Sascha Radetsky (who also starred in “Center Stage”) add a nonfiction aspect to the fictional drama. Be sure to check out the official trailer for “Flesh and Bone” on Starz’s website.
