Scott Disick talked to reporters this week about his split from long-term girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian, and Disick’s statement that “I need to be positive for myself” doesn’t surprise fans. Scott has three children with Kourtney, but rather than focusing on their well-being, he is apparently only concerned about himself.
As reported by US Weekly on July 25, Scott opened up about his split from Kourtney Kardashian when he was in Las Vegas on Friday hosting a bash at the 1OAK Nightclub. Dressed in a clean-cut gray suit and white shirt, Kourtney’s ex looked as handsome as ever on the red carpet and told reporters that he was doing well.
“[I’m] just taking it one day at a time,” Scott said about his plans after the split from Kourtney. “With everything going on right now, I need to be positive for myself.”
Scott Disick’s focus on what he needs right now is also reflected in the captions accompanying his Instagram photos. “Dinner,” he writes under his orange chicken photo taken at the Mirage’s Stack Restaurant before his big night. This little dish makes me happy @winendineapp.” And the photo of his pool side relaxation shows the words, “This is what I need right now.”
Fans who watched Scott arrive at the red carpet are saying that Kourtney Kardashian’s ex might have looked and sounded like a confident 32-year-old performer, but his actions spoke a different language. Reportedly, Scott was hanging on to a bottle of water (or was it water?) and was continuously checking his phone. Once inside the nightclub, Scott was apparently rather “disconnected” and not his usual verbal and outrageous host.
On his Facebook page, fans are trying to tell Scott that it is time to grow up. After Disick posts “It’s almost time! @1oaklv,” a fan replies with “Time for what? U to take your ass home. Its not cool to party for a living when u have three kids.” Another fan writes, “I wish you were making an appearance in rehab to get better Scott. Please get some help before it’s to late and you loose more than your family but your life. Stop being selfish and chasing the high. Your children come first now and can make you feel so much happier than drugs and alcohol.”
Judging from Scott Disick’s words to reporters, Scott doesn’t seem to understand at this point that there is more to life than “I need to be positive for myself.” At the beginning of the week, Scott met with his ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian and his three children, Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and 7-month-old Reign in Los Angeles after Kourtney Kardashian consulted with her lawyer about seeking full custody of the children. Listening to Scott talk about nothing but “myself” makes one think that Kourtney is making the right choice.
