She looks up with hope every time someone passes by her kennel cage at Riverside County Animal Control; tragically no one stops. After all she is a pit bull, and no matter how special the dog, how gentle the dog or how the dog showers anyone coming to visit her with kisses, no one stops to get acquainted. Just three-years-old and her future looks bleak; the euthanasia rate for pit bulls is incredibly high.

Volunteers say there must be something very special about her if this young dog, without even a name, has been spared euthanasia, however time marches on, and crowded conditions from irresponsible and heartless owners, puts this “chocolate bit of gorgeousness” in grave danger. A volunteer writes: “If a picture can give you some insight into the mind of these babies, this girl is so scared and depressed…it is breaking my heart.” Please share this dog with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives, and every life counts.
