Between July 18 and July 26, the Scapoose Police Department responded to a variety of calls for service, including those listed below:
July 9— 51000 block of SW 4th Street: Officers assisted the Department of Human Services on a welfare check.
July 18— West Lane Road near NE Erin Drive: Timothy Mosbrucker, 44, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and cited for driving uninsured and with no valid operator’s license. He was booked and lodged in the Columbia County Jail. His vehicle was impounded.
July 19— 33000 block of NW EJ Smith Road: Police officers responded to an audible alarm.
July 20— 52000 block of NE Porter Lane: Officers responded to an audible alarm.
July 20— 52000 block of NE 1st Street: Investigation of an audible alarm.
July 20— Scappoose Smoke Shop: Officers investigated a report of criminal mischief.
July 20—33000 block of SW JP West Road: Investigation of a report of vandalism.
July 21— 33000 block of SW Park Drive: Police officers conducted a welfare check.
July 21— Columbia River Highway near Crown Zellerbach Road: Clinton Johnson, 42, was arrested for failure to report, following a traffic stop.
July 21— 52000 block of Columbia River Highway: Police impounded an abandoned vehicle.
July 21—Columbia River Highway near SW Old Portland Road: Deforrest Jackson, 21, was cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, following a traffic stop. His vehicle was impounded.
July 21— 33000 block of NW EJ Smith Road: Kelley Amack, 33, was arrested for aggravated assault, burglary and harassment following an investigation into a reported domestic disturbance.
July 22— 68000 block of Whitney Road: Scappoose Police officers assisted the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
July 22— 51000 block of SE 6th Street: Officers conducted a death investigation.
July 23— 33000 NW EJ Smith Road: Police responded to a report of found property.
July 23— 33000 block of SW Walnut Street: Officers responded to an audible alarm.
July 23— Columbia River Highway near SW Havlik Drive: Police officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash.
July 24— Fred Meyer: Officers investigated a report of theft and the female suspect was referred to the Scappoose prosecutor for charges.
July 25—52000 block of SE Tyler Street: William Dupont, 61, was arrested for Assault IV and harassment following investigation into a reported domestic.
July 25— SE Vine Street and SE 5th Street: Kayla Delashmit, 28, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Josephine County Circuit Court. She was booked and lodged in the Columbia County Jail.
July 26— 51000 block of NW 1st Street: Following investigation into a reported assault, David Hayes, 22, was arrested for Burglary I, Assault IV and harassment (two counts). He was booked and lodged in the Columbia County Jail.
