We all, too often, judge people as good or bad. There are a couple of problems with that. First of all, we all are one, coming from the same Source, same Deity. It doesn’t matter what you call it or how you picture it, there is one Source, one ultimate Deity. We all originate from it and so we all have Deity within us. That Source is in all of us regardless of our race, creed, sexual preference, height, weight or any other physical attribute. All labels, such as unattractive, ugly, homely, pretty, attractive, handsome, beautiful, etc. are judgments designed to compare one person to another using artificial standards set up by ego-dominated peoples and organizations.
Coming from one Source makes us all equal. If we acknowledge the Source in everyone we cannot judge one another for to do so would be also judging our Source. Are you really prepared to judge Deity as bad or evil? Do people act in what is commonly considered a bad or evil manner at times? Sure! Why do you think that’s so? Could it be they are carrying out their life’s mission of learning or teaching? There are lessons to be learned from any experience, big, small, good or bad. Everything is on purpose.
Then there are those so quick to judge that they don’t worry about getting all the facts, including the “other side of the story”. Our role is not to judge anyone but ourselves. When it comes time for a review and evaluation of our life, we will be the one doing so in the process of establishing our next life goals. The expression – “We are our own worst enemies” also means we are the harshest judges of ourselves as we strive for the unobtainable perfection. “Walk a mile in my shoes”? Yes, it helps understanding people and their motives and actions if we know what brought them to where they are today. For while we are all one,we all have our own agenda, path, journey of lessons to learn, teach and to live. Your path isn’t any better than your neighbors, just different. Although we all come from one Source, we are individualized expressions of it and therefore unique.
Resist that temptation to pass judgment on others, for Karma does even things out in the end. And remember, no one is unappealing to Deity. Blessings!
