A sanctuary city has experienced another lawless alien crime when a woman driving up to an Islamic Education Center in Maryland yesterday afternoon was forced out of her car by an illegal immigrant that had been released from jail just 30 minutes prior.
Guaymar Cabrera-Hernandez, 24, who had been deported at least once, put a knife to the woman’s throat and demanded she get out of the car, according to NBC Washington broadcasts. The local FOX5 news said Cabrera-Hernandez was incarcerated last June in the Montgomery County Detention Center for the same type of crime but official told them he didn’t meet ICE’s “civil immigration enforcement priorities.”
Washington D.C. is a sanctuary city that has laws barring law enforcement officials from cooperating with federal immigration agents for illegal aliens.
Law enforcement across the nation are reporting overwhelming troubles with criminal illegal aliens. One Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) report released in July shows that in the Rio Grande Valley, 154,453 illegal aliens were apprehended in 2013. Other parts Texas experienced almost 86,000 illegal alien apprehensions. Arizona, California, and New Mexico border sectors saw about 170,000 illegal alien apprehensions combined. This data was prior to the 2014 summer invasion of illegals entering the U.S. and before most Americans realized that the Obama administration was releasing enormous amounts of the illegal aliens that had been captured.
The Texas DPS revealed the 177,588 illegal aliens were responsible for at least 611,234 known criminal charges, including 2,993 homicides and 7,695 sexual assaults. As the flood of illegal aliens continue to cross the Southern border, coupled with the existence of sanctuary cities encouraged by the Obama White House, experts contend the release of these violent aliens have fueled the rising rate of crimes against innocent Americans.
After 32-year-old Kate Steinle was murdered by an illegal immigrant, who had already been convicted of felonies seven times and deported on five previous occasions, on July 1, 2015, the killer told reporters he moved to San Francisco because it was a designated “sanctuary city” where illegals are shielded from the enforcement of federal law.
Another murder was committed by Juan Francisco De Luna Vasquez. Vasquez confessed to killing his wife with a hammer in Laredo, Texas which made it to the national news.
In yesterday’s crime, when the terrified woman stepped out of her car, Cabrera-Hernandez threw the brick at her just before he sped away in her car. In a separate incident, Cabrera-Hernandez fought with a 68-year-old woman at the parking lot of the Sibley Hospital Medical Office Building in an attempt to steal her keys. He finally threw a glass bottle at the woman’s head, missing her. She escaped from her vehicle and broke through a security gate with the police following him.
After crashing into some trees, Cabrera-Hernandez ran through some nearby woods, but was apprehended and arrested by police soon after when they spotted him walking down a road in Northwest D.C.
The illegal immigrant was arrested in 2007 for illegal entry into the United States, followed by a 2011 arrest than resulted is his deportation. Prior to yesterday’s crime, Cabrera-Hernandez was wanted in Maryland for an outstanding armed carjacking warrant.
A spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement told FOX5 that the crime Cabrera-Hernandez was arrested for didn’t meet ICE’s “civil immigration enforcement priorities.”
Congress is currently debating the sanctuary city status after murders and other serious crimes have made the news. A bill requiring sanctuary cities to provide the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) needed information to determine the immigration status of anyone arrested. Any official who failed to report the illegal immigrant status would be fined up to $10,000. If someone entered the U.S. illegally, DHS would be required to issue a detainer mandating the alien would be in custody for up to 48 hours.
