Parents looking for safe trick-or-treat Halloween activities for kids have many choices in 2015. The St. Louis area is bustling with opportunities to enjoy a bonfire, take a hayride, play games, bounce inside inflatables, make new friends at the petting zoo, and much more. And of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without truckloads of candy!
The following events are happening during the last week of October:
Ballwin Baptist Church will host a Trunk or Treat complete with games, candy, a hayride, bonfire, hot dogs and s’mores, raffle, and a visit with the Metro West Fire Department. The church is located at 15101 Manchester Road and the event takes place from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Harvester Christian Church is hosting a Family Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. This event includes live entertainment, carnival games, inflatables, and tons of candy. Family-friendly costumes are requested for this free event which takes place at 2950 Kings Crossing in St. Charles.
October 31 – Bridgeton
The Bridgeton Machinist Hall will host “Operation 31″ on Halloween day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event provides a safe place for kids to go trick or treating and enter a costume contest. Parents will enjoy spooky vendors and an open concession stand during this free event. The Machinist Hall is located at 12365 Saint Charles Rock Road
October 31 – Creve Coeur
On Halloween evening, the Creve Coeur Police Department will host a Trunk or Treat for kids from 4 to 7 p.m. at the police station. Outside, there will be police vehicles decorated for the Trunk or Treat. Inside, in the multi-purpose room, kids can enjoy games, food, candy and a costume contest.
October 31 – Brentwood
The City of Brentwood is hosting a Harvest Party from 4 to 6 p.m. The event will feature carnival games, a bounce house, photo booth, petting zoo, fire truck and candy. Non-scary costumes are requested at this family-friendly event which takes place at 9125 Manchester Rd.
October 31 – Chesterfield
New Covenant Church will host a Trunk or Treat from 5 to 9 p.m. This event includes a bonfire, chili cook off, bouncy house, hayrides, and lots of candy. The church is located at
1401 Timberlake Manor Parkway.
October 31 – Florissant
The Youth 4 Christ Fall Festival will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at 1350 Lafayette Street. There will be lots of games, food and candy as well as face-painting, crafts and hayrides. Food will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and the Trunk or Treat begins at 8 p.m. Canned food donations are requested. October 31 – Florissant
Parker Road Baptist Church will host a Fall Family Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. at 2675 Parker Road. The Fall Festival includes games and prizes and candy for the kids and a cake raffle for adults.
For parents who don’t want their children trick-or-treating door to door, the many events across St. Louis provide a fun, safe atmosphere for kids to show off their costumes and not miss out on filling up their treat buckets with candy.
