Despite not having fought since his last fight on September 20th of last year, Amir Sadollah is still currently employed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship as the MMA organization has reportedly cut ties with 13 of its fighters, most notably Dan Miller.
Miller, who just returned to fighting at middleweight, went 1-4 in his last five fights including a unanimous decision defeat to Trevor Smith at the finale of “The Ultimate Fighter: American Top Top vs. Blackzilians”. Like Sadollah, Miller had just returned from an absence of about two years. Also out at middleweight are Ildemar Alcantra and Tom Watson.
The sole light heavyweight released is Hans Stringer. Although he has a professional record of 22-7-3, he went 1-2-1 in his previous four fights.
Sent packing as welterweights are Andrew Craig and Igor Araujo. Craig had went 1-4 in his recent five fights, whereas Araujo lost his last two bouts and leaves the UFC with a pro record of 25-8 with one no contest.
Also saying goodbye are lightweights Anthony Christodoulou and Yosdenis Cedeno, featherweights Nikolas Backstrom and Aaron Phillips, bantamweights Cody Gibson and Royston Wee and flyweight Darrell Montague.
