On Thursday, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh explained why he said President Obama “has become dangerous” the day before. A link to the transcript of his Wednesday program was posted on the popular Drudge Report, he said.
“Obama’s leadership and his attitude is really getting dangerous now. And the fact that this man considers a domestic political party, the Republicans, a greater threat to him and to America than he considers terrorism,” he said. “I don’t care if it’s Al-Qaeda or ISIS, the man really comes alive. As I said, he doesn’t need a teleprompter; he doesn’t need cue cards; he doesn’t need to rehearse. When it comes time to bash Republicans and blame Republicans, it’s right there in his heart. It’s at the forefront of his mind.”
But Republicans, he added, aren’t doing anything, and they certainly aren’t committing acts of terrorism. He noted that the United States is a great nation that is always at risk, but is even more so now under the current administration.
Citing a post at Legal Insurrection, Limbaugh observed that Obama “doesn’t even listen to his national security and foreign policy people when it comes to terrorism.” Obama, he said, “doesn’t even read the briefs. He doesn’t want to talk to them about it.”
Appearing on Newsmax TV, former CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson said Obama “has his own ideas” and really isn’t interested in hearing what others have to say. Attkisson said she doesn’t know the real reason why, but has allegedly been told that the president not only doesn’t want the information, he won’t even read it.
“I don’t know the reason for it,” she said. “I’ve only been told by those who have allegedly attempted to present him, or have been in the circle that has attempted to present him, with certain intelligence that they said he doesn’t want it. He said he doesn’t want it or he won’t read it, in some instances.”
Limbaugh said he believes the reason is that Obama already thinks he knows everything about the subject. Worse yet, Obama has rejected the will of a majority of Americans who say they do not want Syrian refugees in the country without better security checks. And, he added, the problem is not just Obama.
“It’s dangerous, when the president of the United States, in the midst of what Western civilization is facing, wants everybody to think that the biggest enemy around is the Republican Party, a party which caves to practically everything he wants to boot,” he said. “But even if it was not caving, even if the party was not caving, the Republican Party isn’t anywhere near — I mean, it’s absurd. It’s dangerous. It’s not all there. We have other items of evidence as the program unfolds.”
He went on to say that Obama is not the only leftist dangerous to America. Liberal Democrats, he added, also seem to have a problem with white Christians.
“I mean, that actually is the group of people you’re fighting,” he said. “Liberal Democrats’ number one enemy is white Christians, and it makes up the majority of the country. The Republican base is largely that configuration. Not only, but largely.”
He went on to later blame Obama for the rise of ISIS. Noting that the radical Islamic terror group did not exist under George W. Bush, Limbaugh said that “ISIS came to be precisely because of the policies” of President Obama.
“He left a vacuum, and it has been filled by ISIS,” he said. “And they’re off and running now, and they are terrorizing all of Europe. And they, like other Islamists, are telegraphing their intentions. They intend to do the same thing here.”
